PIR motion sensor
Ideal for wildlife photography, the PIR sensor plugs into the Mic and Aux inputs of the VersaTrigger, no batteries are required as it is powered from the VersaTrigger control unit.
Typical uses are:
- Position it to “keep watch” on a bird feeder and leave the birds to take their own photographs for you
- Position it next to a route known to be used by an animal, the animal will trigger your camera when it passes the sensor
Note, this sensor is not waterproof.
Detection range of the sensor is typically 2-3 metres with a 120° conical pattern, although this may be modified by either placing a baffle on any of the sides or a tube over the fresnel lens.
